Slight over run I woll call it. When I turn the ignition off, say 1/3 of the time the engine runs for a half second or so before stopping. I remember I had this with a car in the past but can't remember what it is and what it's caused by. Am I running rich? Does the carb need adjusting? Am I worrying too much?
The only thing I've touched was the idling speed adjustment screw so it now ticks over more comfortably in 'D'. There is a mixture screw down there too I know, but I haven't touched that.

Coming out from the bottom of the carb at the front you should see a metal cylindrical object with a wire attached by a spade connection. This is the idle cut-off solenoid or anti-dieselling valve. If you take the spade connector off and touch it to the male terminal with the ignition on, you should hear a firm click. If you unscrew the cylinder (if like a GSA you may need to undo a grub screw on the side where it enters the carb first) you should see a rod with a jet at the end of it. When you turn the ignition off, the tip should move out and obstruct the fuel supply to the idle circuit (for want of a better word) killing the engine.
I'd check it works and clean it all up. There should be an o-ring or two... that may need replacing.
Cheers,
Mark.
