I just bought a full set to fit my Speedlines onto Monica...

19mm head, 32mm long, FLAT-SEAT with washer.

(Note they are longer than standard steely bolts, which are shouldered too, so won't fit for alloys! The ones you need are very much similar to Pug 205 GTi bolts)

Dunno if they are the same as XM bolts. :?

As far as I know the XM bolts will not fit BX alloys (but will go with CX ones) - but OE Visa alloy bolts do. Where did you get those 19/32 mm flat seat bolts from, MountainmanUK?

He's pretty local to me...just across Blackburn. Price's are a tad on the high side really, but at least I didn't have to pay postage!
Cost me £40 for 12 bolts plus 4 matching 'lockers'.
He's very helpful with any advice / info you might need too.......IIRC he's called Craig.

They will! CX, XM and BX alloy bolts are all the same, or at least the three CX's currentley in the stable have the same bolts, every XM I've had has the same bolts too..... :?

Pug bolts are too short, they will fit, but you only get about three turns of thread in the hub and the WILL destroy the hub and fall out! Dont ask how I know this....

Well it all started one fine, sunny day, when I was a lad, many years ago..... The fields were full of poppies and the sky was so blue it felt like you could swim in it......

Hang on a minute, I see what you're doing there....

Well, lets just say, in my haste to get my (then) shiny alloys on the car, I wasn't to careful about looking at the supplied bolts, and, well, the rest is history.....

I MIGHT be able to string enough together to make a set Philip.

Give me a couple of days (everything is up the farm, and I'm not at the mo!) and I'll have a look.

If theres enough, they're yours

Brilliant. Any number would be good as I can try to top up the numbers from other sources. Cheers Doc.

BTW the silver alloys I have are 6J's which makes them Ph. 1 16v speedlines doesn't it? I understood GTi alloys were 5.5Js - Am I right???

And can I still put 185 60 14's on them OK?
