Citroen GS 1220 for sale (sorry non BX)

Post by BCXM »

I'll be putting her on ebay but before do i'll offer it here first.
I have a 16v which has been stood for 2 years and will need a fair bit of work.

This is Chris Salters and Stuart Hedges old car.
She will be sold with 12 months MOT 6 months tax. suspension arm and welding (nothing drastic) all needed for MOT this will be done on point of sale. She still has an MOT till 18 June.

Interior is quite tidy the front seats are missing the back coverings and the parcel shelf is a little disheveled but otherwise tidy. Engine and box are in good working order bodywork polishes up nice and looks like it has been resprayed at some point.

There wasn't much history with the car but it's had a fair bit of welding in the past front tyres are nearly new the battery regulator and dynamo both have been replaced and the spheres are good all round. exhaust too is in good order no leaks and she rises and falls as she should.

Don't know when the belts were done however.

£475 with 12 months MOT 6 months tax will take a part ex.
or take away for £325 with 6 months tax and a few weeks MOT
I have a 5 speed gearbox and 1299 engine that would go nicely with this car I find the 4 speed a bit annoying on a long run...

pics..i'll try and get some but this gents is a rare car can't be more than 60 left in the country...

I haven't either :(

Mr Chidlow? We all know how much you want another GS :D

It would be a shame finally to lose Sally from "the family". It's nearly happened more than once before...

Straight swap for a red BX 19RD?

A GS isn't what I need right now but I couldn't bear to see her on the 'bay again. Last time that happened, it led to five years of neglect. I won't let that happen again.

History as far as I know it can be found here if anyone else is interested.

I'll offer a straight swap too, just in case you might be interested.

Available is a red 1990 TZD turbo with A/C, needs a small amount of welding (rear exhaust hanger and same area other side) for MOT but otherwise a great car with known recent history of replacement parts.

There are some other cars I could offer in PX, but am not entirely sure I want to part with them.
this might be a signature

@ Stewart...
All those places in the pics where you have parked sally are exactly the same places where she gets parked now..Especially now the parking on the green is no longer free...

I hear my ex has moved, so it should be safe enough..... if ever you find her vandalised/stolen I can tell you who it was!

So Stinkwheel - does that mean you're the new owner?
