One more thought.
Thanks for all your help and encouragement BX'ers. Those PM's I've received about the kids have done me a lot of good.
I really appreciate it all.
It's nice to know there are still some decent people out there in this God-awful world, even if you are all scattered over UK and Aus and Kiwi. Really glad to be in your company.
Thanks again.

OK so the journey home from Chelmsford went without a hitch. Lovely drive, Kathryn took over half way and, as a well experienced BX driver, put it through its paces. Nothing too strenuous, but its good to know what a car will do when you're needing a little more guts.
Our earlier reservations about lack of go on the throttle weren't realised. She goes just fine with some to spare.
I have to say I never thought to even see a BX in this condition again, let alone own it. Both Kathryn and I are grateful to Phillip for the way he conducted the transaction.
Having got what we wanted, I don't expect to be changing cars for several years.
Ken, I understand it was your car until 6 months ago, and that you did some good restoration work on it. Seems to me a job well done!
Well, I haven't got any BX parts to trade, and we don't see many BXs around here. But, the offer of computer help stands, especially as I plan to be around the forum for a good while yet.
Again, Phillip, my thanks. You've made my day.

Just been out croozin in my Xantia Estate, aircon blowing, proceeding almost silently, I cannot see what all the fuss is about, I really like the car, of course its slower than the Hooligan but many cars are. I still fancy an XM but looking at all those electronics and knowing the build quality A neighbour of my Bro used to own an XM, i met him once and the topic came around to citroens (he was an enthusiast) I asken him how he liked the Xantia, he told me he was an XM owner and that the Xantia was a courtesy motor whilst the stealers fixed the XM I never saw the thing parked there
