jrdpod's restoration progerss

Post by jrdpod »

J544 VHJ, my 1.6 Meteor has had its odd panels sprayed grey, to match the rest of the car. However, due to limitations in how paint can be mixed these days, they are of a slightly lighter shade. This is not noticed by many, but one of my friends (who happens to be an industrial designer), did comment on my "multi coloured Citroen" !

The coolant has been changed, and the thermostat renewed.
A Blankput 'Cambridge' radio/cassette has been fitted.
Wheel discs have also been added, but these are not proper 'Meteor' ones.

There still various cosmetic jobs to be done, on which I will keep you posted.

I intend to take this car to Godmanchester on 15th July, for 'BX 25'.

Meanwhile, D526 WCW, the iris blue 17RD, remains in dry storage, and has had some body panels removed, for refurbishment off the vehicle.

Regards
John Podgorski/jrdpod.

Any pics, John?

Excellent devotion to the cause, by the way!
