It's back on!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUPERB-CITROEN-BX ... dZViewItem

I just emailed the seller to ask what happened. The original auction ended on 23rd October at £320.

I really liked the look of this car and was itching to bid on it... and now it's reappeared... Shame about the rusty bits, but the rest of it looks perfick and I love those alloys.

Hmmm....

I too had been watching this one, I may even have bid on it , cant remember now but there was an error in the listing and I think he had said the tax expired towards end of 2006.

So £320 for a rusty BX with no tax & test was a joke, I suspect some poeple assumed the listing was correct, so it's no suprise to see it here again.
They think it's all over, it is now!

Well, it turns out the buyer was from Barcelona...

No really! And he hadn't thought through how much it would cost to get the car over to Spain. And he hadn't realised it was right hand drive. Being in the UK and all that...

Being an old bloody cynic I could smell bullshit. Was he REALLY from Barcelona or was he a friend of the owner who just happened to have an eBay account and won the auction when the next highest bidder stopped bidding short of what the vendor guestimated he would?
I mean, there`s quite a few terminally stupid people on eBay at the moment but he didn`t realise the cost of shipping from England & didn`t realise it was right hand drive despite the listing being in English and us driving on the left?
Hmm, a quick check reveals our friend from Barcelona was actually from America and he`s left good feedback for the transaction.
Rearrange these words: stick away well it from?

Yes there is something a bit whiffy about it somehow...

I think I will avoid any "trade" BX eBay sales... :-/

Actually it could be true. Yes his buyer (mate ?) is American but he is buying in Barcelona as well. see ..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 7190049228

The smarmy nice guy feedback does not reflect what happened and does not ring true though.

I'm sorry but this car is a shed. I couldnt believe this chap described its as being so nice?!?!? :?

I've seen some ropey rear arches before but they really take the p1ss.

Anybody who pays more than 100quid (for the engine!) must be mad.

If its that bad on top imagine what the front subframe, the sills, the door hinges and the front inner wings amongst other parts must be like?!?!
