Because early Citroen option alloys (dealer fit ones) were Metric - bloody expensive for the tyres. I know I ran a Metro with Metric wheels - changed them as soon as I could for Maestro 13" ones. What tyre sizes do yours run Ken?

Silver one on TOP link put mine to shame ALTHOUGH the rust does not exsist on mine and it has 12 months MOT. Mine would have looked better with alloys, but I aint spending any more on it.

Having seen Kens Mk1, its gorgeous!!

I've got quite a few 'BXtras' brochures from over the years but never seen any metric alloys for the BX.

Some CX's and the Visa's (namely the Visa SuperX) had metric wheels.

My mate had a metro with odd sized tyres but i'm pretty sure they were imperial and just a specific size that was used on no other cars?

BMW 6 series and Fords Mk2 Grandad also had metric options. I'm struggling to think of anything else except such exotics as the Ferrari 308 and possibly 328.

No the rather lame 1.3 cars from the early 1980's had metric rims to fit "low profile" tyres onto - Most second or third hand Metro owners binned them in favour of standrd 12 or 13" rims - Maestro wheels fitted perfectly, as did the 12" 1.0 Metro rims.
