I like this! (non BX)

Always had a soft spot for the 305 - it was my parents' first non-Renault 4 car!

clicky

Now that would look great slammed with 205 1.9 rims on.

The question is, will an Mi16 go in it? 8)

Don't reckon it'll sell at £395 though.

Yeah, you could get an Mi in there I reckon

Yup, I like that too. My stepmum used to have one - an estate, in sort of yellowy beige. Nice, big comfy car. I like the looks of that generation of Peugeot too.

Yeah the Mi16 would fit and the gearbox is the same as a BX one so no problems there. The 305 GTX was the BX GT's sister car. Same price, same engine etc etc. It interesting how the red line on the 305 is 1000 RPM higher than that of the BX, which I think is just because the BX just borrowed the CX instruments and they couldnt be bothered to change it.

So the Mi16 really would go in?!

Now THAT is my kind of Pug conversion.

Hmm... (rubs hands together and forms plan)

There's always the 16V on eBay with the leather? You'd probably get it at a fair price and could sell the leather on, break the rest of it and scrap the shell.

Yep, but dont scrap the shell before I've had the body kit!

Hey, we're getting ahead of ourselves already here, nobody's bought the 16V yet. So far you want the kit, DJ wants the engine, I'll have the shell for the weigh in if it comes oop north and there'll be an epic carpark fight for the leather  . Any of the other valver boys want anything off it before it gets weighed in?

If it comes up our way Billy don't let it go without me having a look around it. Could do with a few minor bits and pieces, possibly alloys too if its got them and they're ok.

O/T

there is a Y reg 305 estate for sale from a friend of mine but he's asking too much. It has chrome wheel arch covers is a one owner from new car and looks lovely. I had a van of these this time last year (diesel) and they are great workhorses..

I still want a 505 though I missed out on a TD automatic 8 seater not so long agao and was really really gutted..

I saw legions of 305s out in Tunisia, along with 404s, 504s and 505s. Made me want a 305 just for the sheer nostalgia of it all!
