Most likely the front O/S sensor, or maybe the diode in the wiring loom to the ECU, but almost certainly a sensor. It nearly always is.

Yeah, the brakes feel much better when the ABS is out of use anyway IMO.

Obviousley wont pass a test like that, although it's easy to fool the ECU into thinking it all works with the use of a little resistor!

If it's the rear ABS sensors then you have a problem. I normally replace the whole arms as it is difficult to get the sensors out.
Unless you have a portable scanner with you, you won't know..

It's easy to get a rear sensor out, but not in one piece!

I just smash the old one out, clean up the hole very carefully, then apply some copperslip before installing a new one.

Still a long shot but if I did get it as long as it was safe to drive I'd probably just smoke it 'til the test went and either see if it could be converted to carb and banger it, or strip it and weigh it in. Reckon I'd have some fun in it first though.

Borrocks, forgot about checking eBay to see how much it was going for. Some's had a right royal bargain there and no mistaking.

Cheers Doc. That one was well worth the money and I'd have either fired my truck up or got the train down and driven it back.

£60 summut quid!!! Good god that was a steal. I should of bid in the end!!!!!!! I wonder if it was under serious attack from the tin worms tho' cos if the description was accurate (i.e. not much wrong with it at all) than I would of expected a reserve.....

This however looks like a gem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... &rd=1&rd=1

But I do not like that interior. Looks an honest car tho'...Close to me again!!

Now that looks stunning. If it was a diesel and auto, I'd have it.
It isn't, so I wont, but UBER low miles, very tidy, gota be worth £1500 at least.

Although I agree, the interior is hidious.

Shame I can't afford to bid on that as it's a cracker, well worth £1500 or more imho.
