Cheers mate but thats the box further back. The one I need is listed as "Front pipe with Silencer". The middle box isn't in the middle .

Tim, I think he wants the exhaust off a GTi which is the front pipe AND the first exhaust box all in one unit.

Yup - £70 plus vat with free delivery is the cheapest I've found it new. I've phoned roughly 20 yards localish to me and none of them have a single BX. Apparently anything older than '94 gets crushed immeadiately.

The front section pipe without the box isnt the same bore as the one with the box, so that's not an option. I think I'm gonna have to get it removed and a pipe section welded in place. But if I'm doing that why not pop up the road and get a straight through built up direct to the rear box and cut the middle and front out...

Just found this on the bay...

Not convinced it fits the 8v though. Thought the downpipe end was different and the bore was larger? Does anyone know? It's right down the road from me too...

Stood for 3 years might be a worry, could be rusted to f**k inside (and out), but probably worth asking if you can go and look at it to get an idea of condition and whether it'll fit.
Matt, have you tried Jackson's in Hawarden or the one right next to the bypass in Queensferry mate? Both are known to have had BXs in in the last 12 months or so.

Get a stainless steel exhaust end to end, then no more faffing around for the life of the car :D
