Doc, you sound a bit like the late Peter Cook in a 'Not Only but Also' episode there when he complained of Marlene Dietrich in a flimsy negligee 'tapping at the window trying to get in' ....

thankyou for all your kind comments! The idea was to show you how good this bx is (corrosion wise) from a fellow enthusiast. I dont mean to show off  . I found it by accident on ebay for a buy in now of £400 so i snapped it up. The only thing that does my head in is that it has the awful phase 1 16v interior fitted grrr. I have a suspicion it used to have leather fitted as the guy i bought it off had a phase 1 16v fitted with leather (so why was the gti fitted with the interior that should have been in the phase 1 16v) will probably fit a phase 2 le manns interior in it at a later date.

I actually prefer the monza interior I have to say, and yours is SPOTLESS!

Mine is VERY VERY dirty!

If you fit Le Mans and want shot of the Monza, let me know!

:D Well the gti 8v has just left our house to go for a new clutch and valve stem seals then on to the mot station for a new 12 month ticket after being stood idle for 9 months in the garage while various jobs were done. This means when it comes back the triton green 16v we have is reluctantly up for sale.

That's beautiful! Loving it in that blue.

If I were you, I'd stick with the original BX GTi badge as the BX 19 GTi badge is from a Ph.1 Mk2 car. But that's just me being pernickity...

What are those wheels BTW?

:D Yep new about the badge already but you cant get the bx gti one anymore. Will have a think but if you look closely the car has had some subtle changes and is not all original.

The wheels a 15 inch boos line ( were bought from demon tweeks) but not by us they came on a white gti 16v phase one we had in 2004 so they are at least 4 years old.

I'll have a check at Edwards next time I'm there. He has loads of badges. If I find a good one I'll let you know and then send it to you.
