No BX for the National :-(

Post by BCXM »

My lazy arse mechanic has failed to get my BX on the road before the national. In fairness we have a complete restoration on an XM and a CX to finish but still the car didn't need that much work..In fact i'm not even sure i'll have a citroen to go in. I have been using a Mercedes this last month since I sold Sally the GS, my xantia is still off the road the visa is still off the road the XM isn't anywhere near road worthy and the rest of the stock cars haven't got tax at present. All I have at the mo which has two chevrons on is a scruffy M reg Xantia which is our pool car. Nothing we could take to a rally... :(

I was going to buy Chris Salters red GSA to go down in but just read Stuarts comments that the exhaust blow is really loud.

this really sucks

Give the pool Xantia a wash and brush up (there's a challenge for you - like 'Changing Rooms' you've got two days to completely transform a tatty ugly duckling into a clean ugly duckling!) - and come along anyway. Your support is welcome with a BX or without!

Same prob for me, wanted to get the brake pads and oil changed on the 16v and the blow from the rear of the exhaust fixed before sunday but if they do that the TXS wont be moted!

Will do the exhaust myself and the other bits arent desperate so will wait for a bit.

I'm still coming chaps. I'll take chris's GSA rock up with that and someone has agreed (hopefully) to take the car on, on monday.

As soon as we've sobered up from the national!!

Er, right, Stratford is:
31 aug - 2 Sep. Usual place.

Another of interest maybe is the CX Rally, Little Horwood
14 - 16 Sep.

Much smaller event, but usually ok for getting drunk and falling over!

Hey, don't forget the GS Rally, 11-12 August! That's only a few weeks away! Details on the Events section. Would be great to have a large BX turnout there 8)

After the poor show by other models yesterday, you just want BXs to take over all the events, don't you?
