Would they suit the TXS?

Well Tim....you've seen how they look on Monica!

Bit of a squeeze getting 'em on and off, as they are a pretty tight fit under the rear arches, but well worth it IMHO. I had to release a lot of air out of the tyre to get them on, but then just blew them up again once fitted.

Much better than steelies, I reckon!

But do they come with bolts? I think they transform the ride and handling of a BX. But IMHO look out of place on non-sporting models if you ask me.

I get your point Phil.....but I definitely think that in Monica's case they look infinitely better than steelies with trims. OK so she's not exactly a 'sports model', but a 17TD can hold its own against quite a few more modern sporty cars, especially if they aren't up to spec maintainance-wise!! I've had a good few dirty looks off boy racers when I've passed them quite easily at over 90mph on motorways, when either their cars, or more likely their driving abilities, have made them 'bottle out'!

A lot depends on the body colour. Silver Speedlines look better on lighter cars, whereas the darker colours (like Monica) look more "butch" with anthracite.

I guess it's all down to personal tastes really. at the end of the day, if the person that owns and drives the car likes it, that's all that really matters!

I would count a 17TD as a 'sportier' BX. On a 16TGS or a 14TGE might look a bit odd - assuming anyone actually noticed and thought about it! :D

As luck would have it?? I just bought these off our 'local' auction site.

Hope the link works. Dont know what to fit them to yet. The Turbo Diesel Estate is the prime candidate but I wilted agAIN this week and bought anOTHER BX to add to the stable. A TRI auto (which changes up too fast according to the chap I am collecting it off tomorrow) oh, it's 1.06 a.m., that means its toDAY I get it..whoopee. Paid $600.00 for the TRi Thats about 230 quid over here. If the link to the wheels looks like it works, I will post a link to the BX...

Incredible. this linking copy and paste works!!! Must have had lessons. The Wheels work out at 58 quid for the four so I reckon thats brilliant. The guy selling is breaking a 16v and dripping a bit at a time onto the TradeMe site. Anybody need anything over there??

Now, my 'new' car. A Mere few hours away from collecting it. luvlyjubly. Not too worried about the "changes uip too fast" at the moment as the seller is not at all mechanically minded so with luck it will be something sortable. I'l let you know. Here is my latest babe.

Psssst TradeMe.co.nz does a lot of Citroen stuff and its a bugger avoiding looking at it.... Should stop the daily updates appearing in my email box eh..?? Yeah right.
