GONE!

Post by Stewart (oily!) »

Well thats it, the BX has just driven away, off to a new life in Ireland, at least the new owner is a citroen enthusiast and will look after it properly, I do feel sad though

Good news! That car really had to go to an owner who'd understand it. So, what's next?

Commiserations mate!
I know how much you put into that car, but at least you now have your new "baby" to lavish your attentions on!
I'll bet that your BX will be unique in Ireland though!

Did you manage to get that clutch in the Tranny?

Be sure to get to Stratford mate, needless to say there will be ample beer to keep those of us hardcore enough to keep drinking till the sun comes up topped up!

The good news is that I still see the Zx TD after 3 years of selling it on (MikeSG's son), the TZD hatch was here last week with Brian King, and the latest offload, the L reg TZD estate belongs to Ed with the ferrets, so I still get to see all my best cars and do some work on them now and again.
Jon,
I guess it's a bit like being a foster parent! You get to care for, maintain, and spend time and money on these cars for a while, before permitting them to 'move on' to new homes! It's a sign of their gratitude for your care, if they come back for a 'visit' from time to time!

I have to say if I ever sold my old 190E (God forbid that doesn't happen) then I wouldn't want to see someone else driving it, it'd break my heart.

I'm much the same Billy. I'd rather scrap my ambulance than see someone else in it (although that will NEVER happen).

I guess thise of us that get attached to cars find it hard to someone else in something that was "mine"...
I'd be worrying about how they were looking after it..
