I still feel a little strange looking out on the car park and not seeing it there  , still the new owner seems to be appreciating the car and it will be looked after and hopefully preserved, I did put a lot of myself into that car and I think I succeded in building what was for me my ultimate BX, jeez the bugger could move, and it never threw a hissy fit either. I guess I did a good job on it, I have tended to buld specials at turning points in my life, traumatically leaving a job or something like that, needing something to concentrate on and aim for, whats next??? the bike is good but really only needs some cosmetics, guess Id better go for a ride somewhere interesting? Have just got back in touch with a mate in Norway HMMM! :?:

Well I sympathise with all you guys and your cars. I have been through it too.
But when it has to go it has to go. No point in being anally retentive about them. Its the same with other things and people too in your life.

You just have to let go, move on and dont look back. After all its only a car.

BTW that was meant to be the understatement of the year.

The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Hi there.
:D There are hardly any BX's here in Ireland anymore.
So your car should be a sight for sore eyes here.

I can see where you're coming from too.

But to some (like me) they become more than just a piece of machinery.

Some would argue that they have feelings and can throw a tanty just like a person. I know my GTI chucked a nice reservior of LHM onto the garage floor when I wasn't giving him enough attention.

When you sell a loved and cherished BX it's like taking something away.

We sold our mint MK1 16TRS last year and I was devastated. Luckily I still see it now and again and it gets the glove treatment.
