TXD Turbo Tractor on the 'bay

Post by stuart_hedges »

Linkage.

A late TXD Turbo would do me nicely.

Just not that one, somehow.

I couldn't decide whether to post this here, or in my ebay grammar nazi thread...

These TXD Turbos are most definitely NOT tractors, Stu!!

Go like sh1t off a shovel, when asked, and will cruise at 75-80 all day long and still give ya 50 mpg!! (Thats exactly what Monica did for the CCC Meet).

Looks pretty decent too, might be worth a punt!
Could you get someone nearer to Northampton to have a look at it for you?
(I don't like the sound of the £100 Start price, reserve not met....for a car with no MOT / Tax though!)

I wasn't being insulting about the engine, I think they're fabulous!

I was referring to the fact that it's only been used off-road, and is covered in mud. I wonder what it's been being used for?

that's OK Stuart!!

I think it's probably been thrown around by teenagers off-road since the ticket ran out, and the owner is now thinking that what money he MIGHT get for it will soon wasted if and when it gets wrecked!!

A second look at the photos shows that its on a caravan park! Maybe he's just been using it for moving vans around?

still might be worth a look....but I reckon he wants WAY more than it's worrth!

Can't think of anyone really close, but there must be a few within an hours drive of Northampton? :?:

It's about 130 miles from here, which is an acceptable distance to pick up a good, worthwhile car, but it's a bit far for me to go just to view something which may turn out to have been driven to death with mobile homes on the back.

I've asked him if the mileage is genuine, seems very low...

"no reason why it shouldent pass m o t" begs the question as it always does - why not take it for an MOT and make more money selling it with 12 months ticket?

I bet there should be another "1" at the front of the mileage figure!

I want some more 'ifo' on where he's been 'yousing' it. Actually I don't really because at a hundred quid reserve not met it's really not worth spending 2 minutes of valuable time bothering with.

It's now back on for, I believe, the third time. He's not going to give up!
