BX Sport on German ebay

Post by toddao »

'Rare, collector's piece. From Belgium, never available in Germany.' Has anyone ever seen one? They weren't available in UK either I think. I'm not sure about those rear arches - looks as though a bit's fallen off..

These are very desirable BX's and I believe were a hoot to drive with their 123bhp twin carb engines. This looks a very neat eaxample (apart from a slightly saggy rear bumper. Bodykit and decals are as they should be I believe.

Not sure about the interior though?

Correct me if i'm wrong but its on German 'transportation' plates. Well thats the type of plates my old camper came over from Germany with.

SO one of us could buy it and bring it to the UK without much hassle, would it be the ONLY ONE???

EDIT: Phils right, the seats are WRONG!

Seats are from a early model MK2 GTi/DTR Turbo model.

The material is the same but the seats on a pukka Sport should be the same as all Mk1 BX's.

I'd say those are the right seats, as the only mk2 models to be fitted with them were very early GTi's and possibly the pilot?

The centre material is the same as the GT (later spec) so time-wise it would make sense? I do have a Sport brochure somewhere I'll dig out.

It's tidy though. But I prefer them in red or the darker grey.

That car's a beauty.

Those seats are the correct ones. I know someone overseas who has one. The car appears to be very original.

It's a nice car and quite desirable i'd have thought.

I'd rather have a BX sport than a 16V too!

For 151 Euros, should BX enter the Classic Car status then for such a rare model that price will go from amongst the lowest acquisition cost to the highest saleable. :D

Just got around to reading the description and I know why it's cheap.

The car runs but stalls at idle. It needs new front to rear piping as it's rusted. The boot floor is rusty and the exhaust hanger has fallen off. The rear wheel arches are rusty and all the doors had rust but were changed for others from another sport. The rusty doors are provided. The car was at a Citroen dealer in Belgium for a long time and supposedly the engine was worked on but there's no receipts to prove it.

Basically it's a rough running rustbucket!
