A shortage?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

It seems - for quite a while now - to be a relative shortage of decent (actually any) BXs on eBay. There were times when you'd get at least a dozen to choose from. Recently it's been around the 2 to 4 mark. Is this a sign that the ratty ones are finally going to meet their maker, the good ones are being held on to and all in all the BX is due to become 'rare'?! And subsequently, command better prices?

I've noticed the same thing, but I think it'll take a while longer for prices to rise. As long as the GS/A, at least.

You want to check French Ebay Phil - today there are 76 BXs for sale. I know it's not quite the same, being their homeland, but there's still plenty out there. German Ebay only offers 6 BXs - they're definately thin on the ground here.

If you're dying to exercise your bidding finger, how about this tasty little item for the Citron enthusiast who has everything -

shortage

Post by kermit the frog »

Hi
I did some work last year for a Japanese gentleman and he imported some classic mini's back from Japan and all three were rust free and low milage.
He looked up on Japanese e bay and there are some BX's out there and they have air con as standard out there same as the mini's(only trouble with Japanese e bay it is only in japanese)

I know it is quite expensive to ship them back to blighty but low milage no rust and air con got to be worth thinking about (not many diesels) if i remember.(if i remember the shipping cost for the three mini's was the same as if he had imported one , the duty is more on three though)

I may be able to contact the Japanese gentleman and get him to find out what is available and for what sort of money

Regards Kermit
