BITS FOR THE NEWBIE

Post by tim leech »

Not much to be honest,

1. Front bumper locating block (fits in the bottom of the wing)

2. Front bumper rubber strips and end pieces (between the wing and bumper)

3. Boot lamp switch.

4. Gearshift pattern marker?

5. Wheels?

6. Front bumper screws and inserts, the inserts being what the screw fits into at the top of the cross member.

Any offers greatly appreciated.

duxcit123 on ebay has the end pieces on auction at the moment.

The rubber bits are massively expensive new. Just bought some for my GTI.

The Bumper blocks, well for the money i'd personally buy new ones. Not really expensive. The old ones tend to drop and leave a big gap betwen the bumper and the body.

FYI

Bumper side supports #95 631 043 (that's only one; you need two and they are the same for both sides)

Mud guard seal (rubber between bumper and guard) # 95 612 060 (that's only one; you need two and they are the same for both sides)

Bumper end piece # 95 643 658XX (comes as a set)

I have my old mud guard seals which you can have for nowt (still ok but a little faded) and I think I still have both end piece; one for sure and the other has to be here.

From memory the mud guard seal was about 20pounds per side!

I'm happy to pop them in the post as a favour if you wish.

If it doesn't matter why post about it?
Sense of humour is always good, sometimes people should decide what they do talk about on a public forum!

Lemmy with Ace of Spades?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
