Interesting 16V restoration
This man's what the French call a "maniac" : he buys his LHM, pedal rubbers and even a dipstick at Citroën !
Nice work though, some interesting techniniques (he blows the free-to-air pipe to prime the HP pump !). Great photos, and track videos on page 5. Shame about the alloys.

The picture could construed that the piston is being levered in OR being wound in. It's highly possible to wind it in like that. You get the screwdriver in the notches and wind......That's how I do it, but I have a square shafted screwdriver not a round shafted one.
I'm highly jealous of the heater tap where it is!
Bloody French should have redesgned the whole car just for us so we could have had easy access to the heater tap, easy access to the clutch, top glovebox and a decent lower glovebox, not to mention the user guide holder!
The bloke looks like he has a very nice place there but I wouldn't dare work on a car on those nice tiles! What if the grout got stained from some oil falling on it!

I wish i had the time and the workshop that this chap has but sadly like most of us our good old BX has to do the work.
But we can all dream.
looks like my old BX is going to be off the road for a while undergoing metal moth surgery (something this guy doesn't seem to have had to deal with).
Still if i lived where he does i probably wouldn't be needing to do the rust irradication as it wouldn't be there to irradicate.
If the weather hold up i should be up and running again in a short while.
iIdread to think how long this chap spent doing his resto.
He is obviously not married or if he is his wife is very understanding.
Regards KERMIT
