only the works cars made that power
the road versions only had about 185 BHP
we saw about 6 of those at the ICCCR in Switzerland in 2004
they were having a bit gentle thrash down the airport runway
very impressive cars

Only 185hp!
With 4 wheel drive and the extra weight, a BX16V would leave it behind.
I expect it is not hard to get it modified for the full output though.
The dashboard is superb,
but the car looks really odd side view, with the stretched front end.

it was probably a little quicker than a 16v when it got going
In order to qualify for group B rallying you had to make a certain number of road cars of the same basic spec that anyone could buy
and yes some of those cars were modified to make a lot more power (300-450 BHP)
Some were used for rallying but most were used for ice racing
On tarmac they were very quick (2/3 the weight & 4x the power of a 16v)
but not as scary as a Lancia delta S4
