Thanks for asking
not all my own work but the splitter is.
I made my own buck and from that i took a mold and made the splitter you see on the car.

She is running again now but not quite ready for the road.
Since this picture was taken she has had more mod's.
A new intercooler core and a modification to the 4" diameter stainless exhaust.
Don't know how much power she has now but before the mods 492BHP at the flywheel.

Still you can't use somthing like that for everyday use hence keeping the BX going.
The BX is more comfortable but a bit slower.

Regards Kermit :)

492bhp? Hot sh1t, that's some going. Are you planning on racing it or is it just for road use? Wouldn't mind seeing that in action!
Quite possibly about eleventy billion times the power output of my project.1300cc's of Vauxhall loveliness, though I'm afraid I've not got round to so much as even firing her up yet...

Image

I also have this on the go...

Plus this (when I get round to actually seeing it as I haven't even collected it despite getting it a couple of months ago or more...

And my little baby which I've recently got through the MOT after sitting in my garage for a couple or more years...

It actually looks even cleaner in real life due to a mad attack with Meguairs cleaning kits.

Thats a lovely looking head there Kermit!
You obviousley take much pride in it, and plan to keep it long term judging by the waxoyl next to the head!!
Should imagine that'll stink when the engine warms up!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

It's a 190E mate, couldn't afford a C class at the time. Or now!

A 190 is a 190. It isn't one of the "class" ranges.

The C-class was the replacement for the W124 series. Then there's the E-class, V-class and S-class (and probably a couple of others)

The 190 is very similar to the older W124 series, but they are a slightly smaller car. I think it was intended as a contender for the Mondeo/Vectra market.

Aye, almost certainly a contender for the family car market rather then range topping posh models.
'C' class came a bit later such as the C180 range, apparantly not as well put together but haven't owned one so don't know. I had toyed with getting one but I couldn't find one at the time, or a few years afterwards, with as good a spec as this one have and it would have cost me a few bob more anyhow so seemed pointless. I do fancy an earlier CLK at some point though.

Believe it or not i had an astra just like yours it was great fun until the heal came of the point's in the fast lane of the M25 in the evening rush hour.(and i was on for a record time home from the race team)

Not much fun getting across to the hard shoulder with a dead engine i can tell you. [-o<
500+ miles a week that little astra did.
sadly it is no more :-({|=

I like the XM they seem big enough to do house removals in great car.
Has anyone seen the council cx's in france with the six wheel conversion now that is BIG no side window's ( i am going back a bit now 1981/2)

Doc the waxoil didn't smoke it BURNED well what did you expect with TWIN roller bearing turbo's and a four inch diameter stainless exhaust
0 to 60 in 4.15 seconds on a wet track last time she ran in anger.

still as i said you can't use that sort of thing everyday it would cost a fortune at 7 MPG on full boost.

thats why i prefer my BX it is so good on fuel well anything is better than 7 MPG.

Regards Kermit :)

I would strongly recommend that you NEVER let me near that car when it's back on the roqad mate, I reckon I'd kill it in less time than it takes to get to 60!
