Mk 1 BX 19RD For Sale

Post by dumbtime »

I'm Selling my 1984 registered BX19RD because I've been offered a free car which needs less attention to than this car.

Mileage is 135000
Taxed until the end of this month.
MOT runs out on the 7th January
Electric sunroof and front windows.
PAS

Price £200 ono (it is an early Mk1!)

This car was first bought by my Grandfather, when he passed away my brother took it on and then me, so I am sad to see it go. My Grandfather looked after it very well (lots of history) and was kept in a garage so has little rust. There are a few little dings and scrapes. Since he passed away it has been a little neglected as it's been used by two students.

The clutch ideally needs replacing and a new doseur valve.

the vent pipe on one of the struts broke but i fixed it with some pipe, I think it broke due to the age of the rubber. and recently someone booted off a wing mirror.

I don't think much is needed for it to pass the MOT as nothing new has happened to it apart from the vent pipe and wing mirror.

At the moment the car is in Southampton, but I will be driving it back to Bristol on Saturday 15th and that is when and where I will be selling it from.

Photo's:
(in one of them the rear bumper is stuck on with tape, but it's got a new bumper now and i haven't been able to take new photos since it now gets dark early)

Too cheap!

When I sold my Mk1, I sold all the Mk1 bits with it, so that I would not be tempted to buy another.

But that looks like one tidy motor. 19RD with PAS. You'll sell that no problem at all.

What hasn't been mentioned is that as far as I can tell, it's the earliest known BX diesel, registered within months of the introduction of the XUD engine to the BX range.

I like it a lot, but I already have 4 BX's on my driveway, and this is yet another BX hatch with a sunroof.
this might be a signature

Wow! Thats the exact same colour as my 16RS was. I'd never seen another one in that colour before.

That also came from Bristol, and then came to live with me in Southampton! Freaky eh?

Didn't realise there was another in that colour and certainly not as local as that. Sadly I don't have the space, money or time but hopefully someone won't pass up on this cracking car.

Come on Mulley. This would look much better parked on your drive than that rusty old GTi

I'll even do the arm bearings on it for nowt mate  and you could soon throw in a set of tweeded seats and pretend like you're driving a DTR :D

I cant have it on the road, i've got 2 cars on the drive & another 2 on the road & it would have to sorn as i cant afford to insure, tax etc 3 cars at anyone time .

On the other hand, if someone could store the car for me then perhaps in the new year when finances are a bit better i may be up for it.....
