A clutch is about £65.
Free labour if you can do it yourself, and it aint a bad job on N/A's.
If you can't do it yourself, I guess your looking at about £200 labour?

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

It might not be slipping, it could be the thrust bearing is siezing up under load and burning through the "fingers" making it difficult it get gears, especially 1st and reverse. But yes, not a bad afternoons work on a n/a 19d
I could supply you with a brand new ferodo re-con clutch for 15 quid or a new valeo for 50. Though to be honest, if you're considering keeping the car, I'd be wary of fitting a re-con clutch.
But if you fancy a rare BX diesel. I'd go for this and worry about the clutch later.

Wow, I haven't looked at this post for while because it was going a bit off topic. So sorry to those who suddenly showed interested but yes it's sold, well done Chris for a deal of the century!
As we talked I would be interested to know what it gets up to and any pics of it at any 'meets' with other BX's!
It feels like there's a big hole in my heart now, as this car has always been in my life.
I now don't have a BX, Boo hoo.
But still gona keep my account, YAY!
