That's a good theory, also when you see the 'Worthing Motors' sticker on the rear window you can imagine it parked up on the sea front while the elderly occupants open the Thermos of tea, with those chequered blankets over their legs!I bet it was owned by an old couple

I had the 19GT badge, speedo cable, cambelt cover, wheelarch liner panel and lots of screws, clips fasteners etc I wonder who had the computer? Mind you its useless without all the sensors and wiring.
And just to prove I do work on bxs that with his head in the engine bay is indeed my goodself
I know Ken, its such a shame, same colour as your old 19RD too.
Kitch I would advise your dad to go get some bits for his car as its the same year.

It's not uncommon for cars of this type to be there as a result of the owner dying. The Probate value is always far less than even auction value (to minimise death duties) and so the car ends up at the scrappy. This is what happened to an immaculate and fully-restored Allegro 1500 Special which I've alerted ACI (http://www.allegroclubint.org.uk/) to and also a Viva HC which has now been stripped almost to a bare shell.toddao wrote:Adamski wroteThat's a good theory, also when you see the 'Worthing Motors' sticker on the rear window you can imagine it parked up on the sea front while the elderly occupants open the Thermos of tea, with those chequered blankets over their legs!I bet it was owned by an old couple

Good to know: if I hadn't known for certain I would have wasted a speculative journey back to the yard.artic-steel wrote:Boulanger said

P.S. I love Bridges yard...it's like a big adventure park/sweet-shop for those of us who buy almost as much Swarfega as we do soap...

Dad's aware that it's there Tim, but I don't think theres anything he particularly needs off of it.
He needs a complete bodyshell with mint paintwork plus all the doors. Everything else bolted to it is A1 as far as I know!

Well I was joking about finding some mint ones in the right colour in a scrapyard, but now you mention it I think he does have some in the back of the car now.DavidRutherford wrote:he already has 4 near-perfect doors... doesn't he?Kitch wrote:plus all the doors
