F619***

Post by adamskibx »

I was cycling home from work tonight, and heard an XUD get stuck behind me, and when it got the chance to overtake, I saw that it was a red BX. It looked like a 16V shell although I could be mistaken. It had it's rear blinds up too.Its just got to be someone in the club?

This was in Bristol, on the same road as Bristol 2cv's but after the rounderbout toward's Redland/Clifton.

It would have been F614 TFB, and it would have been me!

Looks a bit like this:

only alot dirtier and covered in genuine Stroud cow sh!t.

You should have waved or some such, we could have had a pint whilst I pointed out how bad cycling is for your health!

As I scrolled down, I thought "that's a lot smarter than the Doc describes". :D

And then I got to the text below the 2nd picture! :(

It's very flat and pink at the moment, it might get the annual polish next month if the weather is ok.
The cow sh!t is evil stuff mate, I try to wash it off everytime I go to the farm after seeing the damage it did to the valver I dont want TFB going the same way.

I guess it must be after all its gone through five stomach's before it gets on your car so it is probably very corrosive indeed.

I got some on my mtb, still there after 2years, only winter riding eventually shifted it, like superglue, horrible stuff....

Arrh yes thats the one. Well I almost remembered the start of the reg no :)

I thought about waving but I wasnt sure it was you Doc, and I also thought that even if it was you, me on a bike waving at you would probably be confusing at best :)

It would be good to meet for a pint mind, what with me being in Horfield now. Coming to think of it if you were about on the weekend of the 16th February there is the Bristol Classic car show. I think David and a few others off the CX club are going for a mini meet too.

I think I've still got some cow crap firmly attached to the underside of my Frontera. Still, the mud and sandstone particles from a Cheshire quarry are keeping it in good company so it can stay put for a while longer yet!

You'll always know it's mine if you hear it on boost, it sounds like it's going to sh!t the turbo out the exhaust, and it has, many times!

I aint been to Classic car show for years, sounds like a good plan that.
If I'm not down south on a stag do that weekend, although I'll endevour not to be.

I'm in Bristol most weekend evenings if you ever want a pint dude, you have my number I think??
