Where are you now?

Post by Philip Chidlow »

I thought it'd be interesting for people to post up an enquiry as to where their past BXs might have ended up:

Some of mine are:

A green GTi manual J***PPsomething... it had been chipped.

I know about H***ELF and F***RLO, and I think I know where J***DGK is, and Terry has GRX...

What about a red GTi D***APsomething? I'll dig out the full reg...

Anyone else want to put an APB out?

Not much cop with the reg. numbers but here goes what I can remember:

BX 1.9 petrol: sold through auctions as engine knocking, probably scrapped.

BX 17TGD: scrapped I think after Vanny's mate had a lot of fun in it. Gutted because I loved that car.

BX 16V: still in the hands of the lad near Derby (sorry I forgot your name  ) I believe.

BX GTi (* *** ELF): Still with Ian I think. One of my favourite BXs ever, can't believe I sold it.

BX TXD (£1.60 from eBay!): Scrapped.

BX TXD hatch: Scrapped.

BX TZD (eBay): Can't remember, think it went to one of us.

TGD estate: scrapped, but engine lives on in Sleepy's old hatchback.

TGD estate: Ken had it (I think) and sold to a friend of his.

TZD estate (with Pug conversion): being saved as we speak I believe.

BX GTi: still owned by the top dude that is Pilsy.

There's also some more I've forgotten about and I'll try and add reg. numbers if I can find them.

A friend of mine still has Billy's TXD estate (not TGD) and believe it or not Tim, that £20 auto you sold, is also still around :o not running at the moment but as I understand it, it's in Shaune's care now and is going to be fitted with new cylinder head. :D
They think it's all over, it is now!

Er, the only pic I have right now go something like this:

It aint my car though, but it is "in the family".

It'll need some welding pretty soon, which I'll get round to this spring, and it now sports Le Mans interior.

In that last pic, is that a black ZX Volcane? Does it go? Is it going to be made to go? Or is it beyond going (ie is it being broken)?

There certainly are a few tasty BXs there.

My Dad's old BX was F122 BET, passed though anyone's hands here?

It was a red DTR Turbo hatch, DVLA website suggests it has been scrapped :(
