BXer of the Week!

Post by mat_fenwick »

Just wanted to say thanks to David Rutherford, who not only offered an engine at very short notice (and haggled ME down on price!); but thought nothing of driving from South to North Wales through gales and heavy rain to deliver it.=D>

Just got to find time to put it in now...

Nice one David, another example of BXC cameraderie.

... and a very picturesque journey it was too. First time I've been to that area of Wales, and very lovely it is too. Not quite so clever when it's hissing down with rain, but still great to meet another forum member, and my thanks for your hospitality.

As a sidenote though, a BX on 165 tyres and a spare engine in the boot doesn't really handle, which is a worry when you're on a narrow mountain road with a 200' sheer drop just 3' to your left, and nothing more than a 1' dry-stone wall to stop you plunging to certain death.

*still gave it some welly anyway*
this might be a signature

Just one thing...you left your jacket in our house!

If you PM me your address I will stick it in the post for you.

Mind you if you had left your Citroen overalls I might have kept them.
