Is £26 expensive for a brand new headlight for the BX19?

If not eurocarparts have them. Indicators too

YES!

Ask around on the Forum first.

Then look on eBay - I think there're a couple on there - maybe a fiver each?

Hmm.. depends if it's petrol or diesel? might be expensive for a BX14 headlamp.

It's expensive if you expected it to be a fiver, and exceptionally cheap if you were expecting it to be a few thousand pounds.

I dunno, some are for the offside, and others are for the nearside.

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Actually, to be utterly pedantic, there are two different types of BX headlamp that I've experienced. The difference is in the sidelamp fitting. One takes a small bayonet type lamp, the other takes a push-in capless lamp. Although the entire headlamp assembly is of course interchangeable with any other, the sidelamp fitting is not interchangeable between the two headlamp types.

I assume its simply different manufacturers, and there's no benefit in having one type over the other.

I had that problem with the GT as it has a early type, and I replaced the damages one with a later example, but as long as the new lamp comes with the bulb holders either type are interchangable as its just 2 spade end connectors.

It's not an "early" type or "later" type, it's just two different manufacturers. Same as what type of diesel fuel injection equipment a car has, or on Peugeot's what make of front brake caliper it has.
