The earlier TZD and Gtis did have that whel but from about 92 onwards they all had the 16v esque styleee. 8)

Worth that all day long, a good valet a new bumper and some speedlines would transform it!

"Needs some servicing" - hmm.

Will ask seller a question - this could be what im looking for though and it matches the GTi 8).

Well spotted jon!

Quite agree Jon, they probably put on what they had, if you look at the TZD turbos for the non uk market some visually were the same as a 19TZS/D etc but with the TD engine, like the estate which wasnt "sportied up" visually outside at all, but shared the same interior bar the steering wheel.

Plans are afoot to collect this one this weekend if the viewing goes ok.

Can't resist the urge of a matching pair.....

I still have some concerns over the "Needs some servicing" note though. However, as long as it will make the journey home and itsnt full of holes then happy days.

That was on a Buy It Now. wasn't it? But it doesn't say if it sold with that. IMHO is something's there, and you think you'll want it, and there's a Buy It Now button - press it before someone else does.

It's happened to me on more than one occasion and really, if the car doesn't match the description when you see it, then walk away. The seller can't argue with that really.

I appreciate, in this case that there was a question mark over the servicing bit....

Look on the bright side, you may have narrowly escaped a World of headaches...

No it wasnt buy it now, it was a classified ad Phil. I used the make offer button and emailed the seller twice. He accepted in principal but someone else beat me there and waved the readies.

Thanks for the advice on how to buy things though.

And coming onto the thread and telling me In his own "humble" opinion its my fault as i should've clicked buy it now is ok is it?

I'm fairly sure that Phil is a big boy too and doesn't need you to hold his hand Tim.

Havent you two got something to go polish? And I won't say what but you can guess what I'm thinking here...
