These charcoal grey head rests are not totally uncommon - front ones that is!
BUT if you get a set of fronts, hack saw a few inches off them and they'll be fine for the rear.
I have a set somewhere, (not cut down), but I'm not quite sure where. (But I did pay £12 for them from my local breakers - in my multiple GTi days - so I'd need say, a tenner (free P&P though) - so be warned )
So I'll have a look if you're interested?

It's also fairly amusing to remove one and use it to bash someone with, using the stalk as a handle. The padding is thick enough that you probably won't do the person any damage*
*I take no responsibility for any damage or injury caused while bashing someone over the head with a BX head restraint. Please use your own discretion. Other head restraints are available and may be as effective. Best served ice cold.

Phil's right
But they do fit the rear without cutting i have a set fitted in my TZD.
The only problem is you have to pull the seatback forward to remove them.
Makes it very comfortable for the rear passengers (so i have been told)
It's very dificult to drive and sit in the back at the same time.
I haven't been able to work that one out yet (give me time)
Regards Kermit

Ah Mick Hucknell, what an irritating pr*ck.
You'd have really thought even on a REALLY tight budget he could have bought some hair dye. Or maybe just done the world a favour and died.
