French cars are LHD so erm, no not an import from France. Citroen did sell the BX 16v in Japan directly so its probably a through and through Jap car.

Driving on the left is all about how you draw your sword and slay highway men while riding your horse (that and when the rule came about leftyness was considered a disability). So i suspect Japan has a similar reason. Most other countries that drive on the left are as a result of imperialism. Of course given the way most front wheel cars are made it makes much more sense to drive on the right, and I've been told that road networks are mathematically more efficient when driving on the right (though exactly how that works out i don't know).

Still Michelin energies are hardly known for there traction, and valvers are hardly known for being sedate.

Erm....I think you guys missed Roverman's point! The car pictured is LHD so it is most likely not Japan where it is pictured or on the other hand it could be a French import.

Thats what I meant sorry, its been imported from France TOO Japan possibly?, hence maybe why its a left hooker, the other Jap BXs I have seen are RHD.

Looks tidy. No complaints on Michelin Energy's from this camp either. I've had them for ages and I regularly drive my car like it's done something awful to me.

Don't know if it's all Japanese but these two- from the same garage are in incredible nick. Suppose they are known for their ordered ways :D ( as well as smoking loads of fags and drunk businessmen lying in the road still hanging on to their briefcases!)

konichi wah

I have done work for a Japanese chap and he says the reason that the cars are in such good condition is that they all go to work on public transport and the cars are only used at weekends.
I have been to Japan myself and i can honestly say the public transport system is amasing.

By the way the BX was imported into Japan but only in petrol form as Japanese diesel is not very good quality.(heating oil)
But all were fitted with air conditioning a must in Japan
