I have now owned all the special edition 14's this being the last in a long line of BX ownership.
This freak should be in the Club - a '14' head! Did he have all of them?

In Uk, BX 14 : 'Flight' 'Nouveau 11' 'Preview' 'Prestige' 'Tropic' 'VIP'
'Rendezvous'

On the continent : Calanque, Cannes,Caribe, Classic, Deauville, Demarrage, Fit, Flight, Geste, Hit, Liberte, Liner, Palais ( with injection!), Routiere, Royale, Sublime,Tecnic, Toulouse

Of course I know them all by heart, didn't have to look anything up
on the varients page. And it's so convenient that the continental ones are alphabetical.

(Have I really got nothing better to do? ... avoiding work perhaps? )

I always liked the simplicity of the St Tropez...

Something strangely appealing about this one.

I agree, definately something about it. Anyone know what sort of economy you get from these?

Yes - I am 'fatgeezer' that won this very car the other day. It wants to start 'cos I'm going to pick it up on Saturday and drive it home!!. I had to scrap my old St. Tropez in March and bought an old Merc to replace it. But now the price of petrol has gone silly I have the Merc on ebay and am going back to Citroen. I used to get a good 'high thirties' out of the old BX compared to 18/20 out of the Merc. so it has to go.
I will post more next week when I've had a chance to mess around with it. It's good to be back!!.

Ignore that, just found it... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-MERCEDES-300 ... dZViewItem
Well worth the money imho. I'd advertise it on Retro-Rides too if I were you, there's a few Merc lovers on there.
