You should never clean the bonnet!

That looks very good Jon - excellent paint match too. I look forward to seeing it in a few weeks. Just have to hope that if there's fog, it's only on half of the road. Eight months eh? Sterling work!

Bugger I! A sidewinder!
You realise that will make the car UBER loud??
They work REALLY well on TD's aswell, not for noise, but for letting things breathe..

Top work dude.
Once it's going I'd love to have a ride in it plis!

If the filler neck doesn't show, give us a shout, I have a brand new one here, right now, just 5 feet away from where I'm sat drinking beer.
I will attach it to the valver at some stage, but if you need one now then it's here and I can deliver, assuming I can get some bloody fuel somewhere....

Oh, and I really wish mine was that cheap to insure
I pay, er, a whole heap more for mine, and thats with 8 years NCD on it....

Ok, I dont know why the reindeer, but I'm pissed, and it doesn't get used enough!

Sterling work mate!
That looks the bollocks!
Chrome tail pipes FTW!

Halfrauds sand paper though!

Arse ends drop, dont fret about it! Especially since changing dosieur valves on,er, valvers is about as much fun as power sanding your own arse....dont ask...

Erm , there seems to be rather a large amount of lager there sir!
We'll give that to the chavs! Men drink ALE!

Oh, and a Devil cup what the fuck thing??
It's a sidewinder. Technically slightley illegal (ish) for road use (unless it's in a diesel) but, it will give you an extra 5BHP.

I rather think you should reward yourself with BXer of the Week there mate!
Top work.
I am being impressed so I am!

Look at it this way, its only something they've bought in and are selling on again, without any of the spotty little oiks in the shop having any input. That should be fairly safe.

... although I'm fairly sure you'll be offered gasket paper, or blotting paper before you actually get some sandpaper out of them.

Very nice restoration there, and the same age as my BX. Talk about opposite ends of the range! Shame I won't be bringing mine to the national.

All it needs now is a tailblazer

Good work mate! Image

I just went back to October and re-lived the whole thing. Somewhere on that garage floor there should be a speed-stripe that seems to have fallen off.
Perhaps those tins of Fosters can be used to prop the back up rather than fiddling with the Doseur?
That's the dream of every car restoration - when it emerges into the light of day re-born ( I think a lot of them never make it).
How about one of those flashes at the top of the windscreen with you and your missus' names writ large? Don't see those anymore, I wonder why?
