BX 19GT 'Digit'

Post by Aerodynamica »

Hi all, a few years ago someone in the CCC found a BX Digit in a scrappy. It was rescued from crushing and offered for grabs. The guy had difficulty shifting it at first but soon found an interested party.

The Digit is such a rare example that I'm interested to know of the fate of that car (or any other digits that survive)

Does any BXer have information on the car or any others? Anyone knoe how many RHD digits there were and how many survive?

The man known as 'Digit Man' aka David Rutherford has one - allegedly - stored in a secret location in the Uk. Oh, no I've said too much.. :D

On the continental side, I've seen two rough'uns for sale on French Ebay in the last year and an immaculate one with a years guarantee (!!) here in Germany sold for a mere €1200!

I've driven the "alleged" one

There was one advertised last year in the window of another BX at Huntingdon. Don't know what came of it.

Interesting, so they do survive in the UK in RHD form.

Somewhere, I've posted up various bits and bobs about the one I have.

However, I've also mentioned a couple of times that I may need to move it on.... Greame, we must talk.

Good to hear from you David - missed you at the Stratford rally - I paid rather a lot of attention to Mr Salter's new BX19GT - took it for a spin.

Well I'll have a look for the stuff you ported about the Digit.
