Not really worth good money with the repairs needed, but sounds ok mechanically. And obviously red valvers are driven by total legends 8)

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Anyone had experience fixing...

...This nasty looking bit of rot? Is is a massively hard bit to do properly (Taking the screen out etc...) or is it easier than it looks?

Although I am not a repairer, I believe (received wisdom if you like) that it is not a happy situation: a difficult repair...

Easy enough to repair if
A: the screen is removed, and
B: you have a nice shiny secondhand pillar ready to go in.

Impossible to do properly with the screen in.

Okay, that's all I needed to know... Might be on the lookout for a project valver at the minute, that's all

It's no great shakes to remove the screen if you have a hot wire TBH.

If the car was a bit closer to home, I'd probably take a punt on it, but Bristol is a fair old trek for me at the minute, especially just to go and look at it...

And I really would want to see it first, unless it went for it's starting bid, which might just be worth the risk of buying blind!

Although a mint Black Phase 2 might be worth going to Bristol for

I could go have a look if you like?

And it'd be pointless coming to Bristol for a black valver, I'm pretty sure there aint any black valvers left in Bristol now.
I think I've owned / sold on / scrapped them all!

It's worth buying blind for the starting bid, but anything over £400 I'd wanna have a look first.
Any running valver is worth £300 these days.

Well, thanks for the offer Doc, but I think this one came up a bit soon... another couple of weeks, and maybe, but there's the old cash-flow problem at the minute :?

Also, I would feel bad for wasting your time if I didn't win it.

I'd say that this one is probably £500 worth, with it being taxed and tested, but then you have to consider the rust, and everything else that might be wrong with it.

Another one bites the dust, still has 11 months MOT if anyone has a spare engine?

But for the fact that it would be an insurance nightmare, I'd be tempted to go for this and throw a diesel in...

£99 ain't worth it imho and he's got it on a private listing which means he'll either have his mates running the bidding up or there's something dodgy about it.
