Thanks for that!

The other thing I could try is buying another length of alu hose and joining them together with a nice helping of gaffer tape.

I wonder what diameter those 2CV hoses are... anyone??

Mark, mine has a hose that runs from a pipe off the radiator, over the top of the engine and onto the inlet(?) manifold, does that help you mate?

It just so happens i have some of the 2cv heater hoses next to my PC.

The large ones that go from the heat exchanger to the body shell are 90mm outside dia and 80mm inside dia (approx)

The demister tube is 80mm outside dia and 70mm inside dia (approx)
Over and out from me

Thanks Cav, yep that's the one I'm missing. Looks like I'm going to have to bodge it for now by buying another tube from Halfrauds and gaffering the two together. :)

Do you need any other bits Mark? I`m struggling to find an engine for my petrol BX.

At the moment I've got plenty of bits sitting attached to the other car in the garage, but if I think of anything I'll let you know :)

Is it me, or are BX16s like hen's teeth compared to the rest of the range unless they are TRS Autos or late injected models?

Maybe we should organise a day in the new year, transport our two non-working grey BXs somewhere central and have a large BX workshop meet to swap 17TD/19D engines into them both, with associated ancilliaries? Just a thought... don't know how viable it is!

Sounds like a bloody great idea to me! I`m still trying to find a 1.6 motor though, unless someone wants to come down to me and take the engine out of my diesel estate and lob it into my petrol hatchback!
