Any tips on how best to lube the sunroof runners. Plenty of WD? Silicon spray? Copper grease spray? The sunroof on my new Meteor opens OK, but is reluctant to shut and needs a helping hand.
Similarly does anyone have any tips on silencing creaking doors? I tried with plenty of WD on my other BX in the past, but it did nothing. Can you get at the mechanism inside the door if you take the doorcard off, so that you can grease the entire length of the checkstrap?
Thanks!
Mark.

My first move when tackling a sticky sunroof is to use the manual hex key to work the sunroof through its full travel in both directions. This should live in the removable flap under the sunroof motor housing. Plenty of manual operation can do a world of good to dispel "tackiness" and "clinging" at the sides of the sunroof.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

Be careful of those creaky doors. No idea what they're like on BXs but on Pug 309s they are actually impossible to grease. By the time mum's was getting into its teens we'd learned not to open them fully but if ever we gave lifts to people they'd be guaranteed to open them all the way... where they'd stick!
