Motor trade jargon is used between sales staff but its dying off now, the days of arthur daley types with the camel skin jacket are pretty much consigned to the history books thankfully!
Good for a laugh though, any more pics of the metro Matt?
The rear arch spats are held on by two studs each side and plastic wing nuts. And LOTS of mastic!
Same for the front one, but only one nut IIRC. The skirts have a bead of sealant all the way along and rivets underneath. They're usually a real sod to get off so if they're undamaged you're laughing mate!

You'll need to find a scrapped Pug 205GTi for one of those these days...

Ah it's all good stuff mate. I rivet the skirts on in the normal place, then use this wet grab blue bathroom glue type stuff from B&Q to stick them down with....brilliant stuff!
But what, oh what is going on with that exhaust pipe??!
When I do finish the car, I'm quite certain that I won't be able to enjoy it for very long, as the plan is to buy a real 16v... and I can either lay the 14 up and use the valver, keep both on the road at massive cost, or sell the 14.
I can't imagine that a heavily modified BX 14 is going to be worth much (okay - not worth anything), so I will probably just keep it, ready for when the 16v breaks
