BX Le Mans Trip

Post by Ian_Fearn »

Hi all,

Now i've heard various snippets of info regarding a trip to LeMans with the BX club.

Speedferries have e-mailed me today and they're offering 50quid crossings again so i thought i might book now whilst their still cheap.

Are there any plans hatching?

As you already know Fearny, I'm planning on heading over the Saturday before the meeting (which is August 18th for those who don't know), and heading to the south of France before the meet purely so I can drive over the Viaduc de Millau as seen on Top Gear a couple of weeks ago :D

Might be good fun depending on job/money/holiday allowance/wife to be...

Would love to drive across that bridge!

I (we) too are planning a holiday that will allow us to intercept the meet on the way - or way back. I won't miss it if at all possible.

Can't wait.

CQODO (SWMBO in French) has agreed to participate in this meet - where, when and how do we get cheap tickets?

Booked!

SWMBO and I live about 40 miles from Dover up the M20, so if anyone wants to break their journey, you are welcome to overnight chez nous.

There is limited space available though, so it may be a case of first-come, first-served, and bathroom rationing. However, the offer is there, just give us as much notice as possible.

As regular readers of the column will be aware, There will be a gathering at Place de l'Eglise, 53120 Carelles where there will be facilities such as tent space and a few beds chez moi. This is about an hour's drive North of Le Mans

There is a small garden on a slope, we'd get one or two tents in there at most. Then there's the spare bedroom, front room and living room

I had better break the news to SWMBO very carefully. If I go offline for a while, you know why....
