Welcome along Marty. Regarding the windscreen rust I'd agree with RxBx as a short/medium term 'fix'. To sort it properly the screen needs to come out - I did a similar job last year but mine wasn't as bad as yours...



...and just needed a bead of weld running down it where the metal was thin but not yet holed.
