Sorry for the delay guys, i sorted through the history and theres alot! Original bill of sale, new and old olgbooks and every MOT including the current one that runs out in June.

Doesn`t look that bad Tim. I`ve seen (and owned) much worse than that before.
Incidentally one I owned had a very rusty exhaust tip. A cheap and effective fix was to saw a plastic torch in half, tw*t it on with a hammer and spray it black.
It did start to stink of burning plastic and the paint fell off but it`d had been round the block by then and the hammer had fallen

With one of the noughts off, should think it would fly out of your hands. It would be a good first car for a youngster that has just passed his/her test to gain more confidence in!

BTW, did anything get improved/sorted on that talking computer of Maestro notoriety? Presume it didn't apply to this model though.

At that price (a hundred quid) it`s worth having as a back-up car if nothing else.
They are suprisingly reliable little things and a piece of p*ss to maintain, and when the arches go it`s the simple matter of some cardboard, tin cans filler and spray to fix `em up!

The arches have surface rust but are sound, as you said mechanically there so staright forward, I do know my way round a A series engine with my eyes shut. It goes well, has 4 more bhp than a 1.9D BX and is a bit lighter aswell which makes it surprisingly brisk!

The JVC Cd playerwould have been the asking price when it was new!
