Some interesting points here.. Last year was the nadir for BX prices especially on ebay I was picking them up on average for £30-50 and there was profit in them and they went to allsorts of people. The work required was minimal and if you have the bits then there was some beer money it for you.

Now prices have come up a little, and there is now a creeping nostalgia factor where you hear people saying "I loved these when they were new" "my dad had one" and are "are these the cars that go up and down?"

My first BX purchase in 2004 was total nostalgia as I knew many people who had them when I was a young boy.

Anyway I get BX's now for fun rather than making any money. I stand to lose out on the Diesel I got recently but it was fun getting a car i've known back up to scratch.. The MOT guy thought we were crazy but they don't understand do they???

and as for the white BX estate if you have a spare box lying around for half a days work and especially as the cars taxed and MOT'd that would make a good car for anyone not just Citroen enthusiasts a TD estate is worth £400-£450 to anyone out there especially at that mileage. I was inches from bidding on it myself
