There's not one originally imported BX in Australia without Air-Conditioning and to be honest I wouldn't want a BX without it!

It's not just the fact of having the A/C, it's the fact that you end up with a whole lot more BX.

You get the double cooling fans to keep the car cool in all conditions, two interior vent fans giving double the hot or cold air, a recycling flap to seal the car from outside air or not and a really cool car in very hot days. I will admit that you can loose a bit of power and hence increase fuel consumption but it's all in the name of comfort! You can't have comfort and not pay for it.

I have the A/C on 90% of the time anyway, not just because it's hot but because it takes humidity out.

Why would you want half a BX?

It explains the 18,000 pound price tag that a 19GTI 8V was here new though.

But you're still only geting half of what it was intended to have!

Those extra things add comfort and quality to the finished product.

When somebody compares a BX to another car they look at what it has and if it has extras, regardless of if you use them, then it is better.

These days people complain that if the car hasn't got cup holders it's behind the times. Does anyone use them? Hardly.
They are there though because it adds what people percieve to be added comfort and quality.
