You guys have not driven a CX enough. A mechanically well sorted one, day in day out in all conditions beats a BX silly on every aspect of driving. The thing will cost you more over the same period though.
And I like BX's a lot, having owned 5 of them. Diesel petrol and 16v.
From a maintenance point of view, I'd rather change a rack in a BX than a CX, and of course BX are easier to come by.
I love driving CX's, and theres a few in the "group" that I look after and get to play with, I'm just very grateful I dont own them or have to put my own money into them, although I did put money (quite alot of) into my mates turbo GTi, but thats a real special car, and he's my mate so.....
