you were spot on

the HC return pipe had split about 5mm from the octopus

i pulled the bits apart then bridged them with a short bit of brake piping, problem solved (for now )

After carrying front HC repairs in situ, we would make good surgeons, especially with the long nose pliers, why couldn’t Citroen put the bl- -dy thing 3 inches rearward.
