Similar thing with that 16TXS auto lats July, similar mileage and similarly mint and that was given away free as noone wanted it, a good car but as mentioned it needed all the fluids, belts tyres etc changing.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

In fact, add to my list (dependant on storage conditions) complete exhaust system and.... if it had been sitting with 22 year old coolant in the radiator, matrix and engine block, I'd be very suspect about corrosion in the cooling system and pump. Valve stem seals... all the engine and gearbox seals in fact. HT leads, etc.

I'll accept the fact that car values are what someone is willing to pay for them, so if there are bods out there who are prepared to spend that sort of money then go for it.

I wasnt criticising, just voicing my opinion & stating that i wouldnt personally pay that sort of money, unless it had been owned by someone famous who i really admired, then possibly....

Got to agree with the other guys about all the work required on the car to even get it roadworthy. I tend always think that a regularly used car is probably a safer bet, as parts will have been changed over the years. Whereas on a 20year old motor still has all the original parts on it

Oh and all spheres too of course, CV gaiters, exhaust hangers, engine mounts? The more I think of it, to do it justice you'd have to plan a full engine rebuild (or at least the top end), so it did indeed drive as new.

I own an escort rs turbo and spend time on most ford forums. Its the same ive seen rs turbos with as little as 2000 miles go for over 10,000 same with sierra 2 door cossies etc ok they are a bit more desireable than the bx but to the right person i think the bx would sell infact im still waiting for a 100 mile dry stored bx16v ( theres got to be one out there somewhere)
The citroen bx loves garages hates driving
