What a beauty, the colour code should be on the nsf wheel arch tub inside the engine bay and is a 3 letter code (normally starting with the letter E) If you have the original service book it may be listed in there on the "pdi-ready for the road" section.

Yes found the code, it was under a load on gunk on that wing,

just been scrabbling about under the front.

Yes found it in all the books and paperwork that came with it,

Now !

There is a lot of play in the rod that connects the front wheels to the steering rack !, but a can;t feel any movement in anything else, so these are the track rob ends 'no', sorry, but i'm not very samiliar with names of parts in thius area, iv'e always got someone to do it for me  , looks like an easy repair, i did the track rod end on the XM then got it all tracked up agian.

Got to get it done, sounds like the front ends gunna fall off

Hi Phil

Thanks , it's not to bad is it, ! still keeping my eyes open for another Xm.

Still havn't got mine off my drive yet !

If the paint code and the logbook state different colours it's likely to be the logbook that's correct ! My paint code says it's Furio Red and the logbook says Venetian Red - and the car is Venetian Red.

Hey Nigel - nice car!!! Good to see another Athena in the club!

Looking at the side-on pics, the bottom sill flange looks to be getting a bit corroded ......... I get the feeling a large can of hot Waxoyl shot around the underside and in the cavities might be a good idea before the great British idea of covering the roads with steel-eater kicks in this winter.

Beautiful looking motor though. Great stuff! \:D/

I would imagine its MUCH less than 100, probably less than 50, so yup its a rare one and anice car to own thans to that interior, the 1.6 petrol is nippy and quite frugal if driven correctly.

Well... confusion reigns etc

According to Harrap's the french for cobalt is.... cobalt. But the french for cobalt blue is cobalt d'outremer or bleu de cobalt, and outremer is french for ultramarine

There's

http://www.premierpaintpots.co.uk/Citro ... 0Codes.htm

and

http://color-online.glasurit.com/CCC/?language=8

neither of which mention cobalt blue or your paint code.

So pretty useless info there - we do try to help - honest !

I'd try to find a Citroën cobalt blue as a starting point - good luck.

Thanks for that !

Hummm, looks like it could be a bit of a bugger to match up then,

That is definatly the code in the inner wing !

Ohh Bugger

Will have to look around 'n' get the nearest match then

Not quite 18 month' :?:

It was 11 month's when you were actually rumbled (Rather than almost) on the FCFforum (Pages 8 to 10 of the FCF thread)
So quite a few already knew you weren't a 'Sue' !

Also you don't need to be medically trained to rumble someone, as a good memory may be a better advantage.
