OK, OK, so I've put a very low offer in on this car. It's not much but it's all I can afford at the moment. I fully expect to be turned down, however!

Go for it Capri. I dont know whehter this is the case with the 16 Valve like it is on the 8V, but you should be able to do the valve seal replacement with the cylinder head on by filling the cylinders with thin rope through the spark plug holes to keep the valves up. Having said that, if it i just the seals, a bit of use and new oil could work wonders and it might not use too much oil anyway.

Don't worry too much chap - I've come to my senses a bit now and realised that I could do with something a little cheaper to run for the trip. I might well be fixing up the TZD and keeping it after all.
