So your saying that you don't need a sensor, just a gauge and some wire?
Some pics would be appreciated.

Exactly. You don't need a sensor, because there is already one on your car, which does nothing more than stop the water coming out of the engine !

Unfortunately, I can't take photos, as I have sold my 14

. However, the sensor is easy to find. Just follow the top radiator hose to where it meets the engine, and you should see a male connector which is not attatched to anything. That's the sensor.

Ok I'll take some photos and post them on here, sounds interesting especially with the recent cooling problems I've been having.

Found the little bugger...

How does it hook up to a temp gauge though?
